THURS 9/5 7:30PM IN BURBANK
Join us for a 90 minute long workshop to focus on one of the most common obstacles to good musicianship, sight-reading, and auditions - our fear of making mistakes. This workshop is designed to turn that anxious energy into confident excitement, by giving you proactive strategies, tools, and exercises to help identify and focus on what matters in the music.
This event is open to anyone who is interested in continuing to hone their craft.
Brandon J. Rolle is a composer and conductor whose work combines cognition, psychoacoustics, and technology in order to create immersive musical works. As an educator, Dr. Rolle's work focuses on developing new strategies and methods for musical training: he has created innovative new courses for universities, teaches hands-on masterclasses, and is the founding director of the Impulse New Music Festival, a training program for talented early-career composers. Brandon holds a PhD in Music Composition from University of California, Santa Barbara, and has taught at UC Santa Barbara, CSArts - San Gabriel Valley, and California State University, Northridge. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California where he composes and teaches for the Colburn School Conservatory of Music and Chapman University's Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music.
