Dr
Alan Chapman is
heard on KUSC from 5- 9 a.m. Monday - Saturday, and Sunday
at 8 p.m. as host
for Thornton Center Stage. Dr. Chapman is also a former professor of music at
Occidental College. Now in his tenth season as exclusive pre-concert lecturer
for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, he is producer, writer and host for the
orchestra's broadcast series which is heard nationally through Public Radio International.
A gifted composer, Dr. Chapman’s
children’s
opera “Les Moose: The Operatic Adventures of Rocky
and Bullwinkle,” commissioned by the Los Angeles
Opera, was premiered in 1997. We are pleased to be able
to offer Alan’s entertaining and informative lectures
to our patrons at the November and June concerts this year.
