Paul
Salamunovich has been music director at St. Charles
Borromeo Church in North Hollywood California since 1949. He
as long been
recognized for his contributions in the field of sacred music
and was honored by the Vatican in 1969 with a Papal Knighthood
in the Order of St. Gregory. St. Borromeo Church Choir has been
privileged to sing for Pope John Paul II.
This choir has also been recorded for numerous motion pictures
and television shows including True Confessions, Flatliners,
and ER. In 2001, Paul Salamunovich was named Music Director Emeritus
of the Los Angeles Master Chorale capping his ten-year tenure
as its director. He was nominated for a Grammy for Best Choral
Performance and has been responsible for choral music in numerous
feature films and television productions, including First Knight,
Air Force One, Steven Spielberg’s AI and more recently,
The Sum of All Fears.
