Werner
E. Keller is President of Keller Partners LLC, a registered investment adviser committed exclusively to active, absolute return portfolio strategies. Keller Partners is based in Calabasas, California.
Werner began his securities industry career with Standard & Poor’s Corporation, and subsequently held the position of Director of Research at three separate NYSE member firms, the last of which was Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards in Los Angeles. As a portfolio manager, he managed a NYSE-listed closed-end REIT fund, and in 1991, founded Centurion Capital Management in Los Angeles, which grew to manage over $2 billion of client assets. In 2001, Centurion was acquired by General Electric Capital (now Genworth).
Werner is a student of the historical trends in finance and has taught courses in portfolio management and investment analysis at UCLA Extension, published several articles on quantitative investment topics, and appeared on CNN, CNBC. He holds a Masters of Arts degree from Northwestern University, and was awarded the CFA charter in 1978. He currently serves as an independent trustee for more than 100 mutual funds within the Rydex Investments fund complex.
In other pursuits, Werner is Chairman of the Angeles Chorale, a 130-voice classical choir in Los Angeles, and enjoys art in many forms. Together with his son Tim (a professional winemaker) he produces private bottlings of premium wines in Napa, California (www.kellerwine.com). Werner has four children in all and lives in Calabasas, California with his wife Audrey.
